A little about me

The English language has always fascinated me, and I love seeing how writers bring their unique voices to the written word. That’s why I have set out to weave my editing magic into your cozy mystery or fantasy novel for young adult (YA), new adult (NA), and adult audiences. Reading is my passion, and I analyze and edit manuscripts in a way that serves both the author and their future readers. This allows me to find and enhance your unique voice.

What i do to Help Authors

I do everything with friendly honesty and consistency. My constructive feedback and professional editorial services provide the relevant care your novel needs—no more, no less. Authors invest all the energy and time they have into their work, which is exactly why they need an editor to give their writing a fresh view.

I thrive on delving into your novel’s world and experiencing your imagination come to life. Then, I work my editing magic, including many details and explanations to help you improve your own writing wizardry.

Whether you’re a self-publishing independent author or planning to query representation for traditional publication, we share a love of writing and storytelling. Allow me to guide you through the editing process. If you think I’m the right editor for you, click a button below to get in touch.

A LOT About Me

I’m from Lorena, Texas, a small town outside of Waco, approximately halfway between Dallas and Austin. It’s the kind of place where your dad straps you—a few-months-old baby—to his chest and goes horseback riding (true story). In a quest for new adventures, I left my hometown to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in English with a creative writing minor at Stetson University, where I graduated with honors. Then, I attended a one-month program at the University of Denver Publishing Institute (DPI) and received a Publishing Certificate. Eventually, I found myself drawn back to small-town Texas.

When I’m not editing, I often have my nose stuck in a book. I also enjoy playing with my cats, riding my horses, watching TV, and solving puzzles. I’m a member of ACES: The Society for Editing and the co-coordinator for the North Texas chapter of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA).

I have been blessed to work on projects that have gone on to be finalists for the Silver Falchion award and have been voted into the Top 5 for the 2022 Reader’s Favorite Award in the “Magic and Wizardry” category. I have also spoken on podcasts and have presented a class at the University of Denver Publishing Institute (DPI).

It is my enduring mission to help you create the best cozy mystery or fantasy possible. Let’s discover what my editing magic can do for you.

I made a guest appearance on The Cozy Sleuth podcast. We talked about the editing side of the author’s journey. You can listen to the episode here.
